2009 Results
|
|
The year was
extremely difficult for the entire swiss watch industry. The overall sales drop
showed a figure around -24% compared to 2008.
The Catamaran Watch
Company, despite big efforts on introducing novelties was not speared as the
sales figures showed also a drop, althoug some encouraging results could be felt
during the last quarter of 2009.

Winter Holidays

Henry-Lloyd Bol d'Or 2009 results

The 23rd
edition of the Henry-Lloyd Bol d’Or took place on May 16th on the
Lake of Neuchâtel. This year particularly, many Catamarans M2 and M3 were on the
departure line.

2009 Baselworld results
|
|
With the overall financial
situation, this year’s Baselworld was a big question mark for all the Swiss
watch manufactures, not knowing what to expect from the retail market situation.
The results showed that fewer
visitors came to the Fair and the one that made the trip stayed a shorter period
than usual.
On the figures’ side, for the
first time in many years, a drop on the orders was felt, resulting from several
leading markets that faced a sizeable drop in the last quarter of 2008 as well
as in the first quarter of 2009.

Bol d'Or 2009

The 23rd edition of the Bol d’Or will take place on the lake
of Neuchâtel on February 16th and 17th 2009. Catamaran
Swiss watches will be co-sponsoring this Regatta once again. Sailing is becoming
more and more popular around the world and the Bol d’Or will attract 100 sailing
boats and 500 participants.
